Referrals

Prosthetists/Orthotists are direct care providers and consequently, clients are able to self refer to NeuroMuscular Orthotics.

To ensure appropriate continuity of care however, it is preferable if a referral from your GP, Medical Specialist or Allied Health Professional accompanies you at your initial assessment/consultation. The referral should include your:

• Medical Diagnosis

• Past medical history including relevant surgical procedures

• Known allergies

• Medications

This will enable NeuroMuscular Orthotics to communicate the outcome of your orthotic assessment/treatment with your other health care providers.
