AOPA has had a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program in place for many years. To ensure that Australian Prosthetist/Orthotists continue to provide appropriate orthotic services and develop professionally, clinicians must complete a certain number of professional activities within a specific time period to become certified.

Self-Education
To maintain their certification status, clinicians must continue to meet professional development targets each year. Clinicians who are certifed are eligible to use the title :
