AFO's

Ankle Foot Orthoses (AFO) are prescribed regularly for clients with foot/ankle weakness and joint deformity. The term AFO covers a large spectrum of devices and is comprised of both custom fitted and custom made orthoses. Some of the custom fitted AFO's in our range are illustrated below:

NeuroMuscular Orthotics predominantly utilises the Posterior Leaf Spring AFO and Carbon Fibre AFO as diagnostic tools to assist with a custom made prescription. Custom made AFO's make up the majority of all orthoses fitted collectively. With over 30 different ankle joints now available, a wealth of ankle joint assistance/limitation can be used to provide you with the most optimal and functional walking pattern.
